1.8-Liter-Engines: Manufactured under the Nu engine class by Hyundai, these engines all had dual overhead cams (DOHC). Uneven running noise is an issue that you might encounter after 200,000 miles when using a vehicle that runs on a 1.8-liter engine from this manufacturer. 

• T8D - This was a dual overhead cam (DOHC) cylinder head 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder engine produced by Hyundai for use in the 1997-2003 Kia Spectra. 
• G4NB - The compression ratio for this engine is 10.3:1. The G4NB Hyundai engine is fairly powerful, as it is rated at 148 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque. It also has an MPI fuel system as well as a dual continuous variable valve timing (D-CVVT) system. This engine was used as a 2010-2015 Hyundai Elantra engine and a 2013-2016 Kia Forte engine.
