1.8-Liter Engines: Mitsubishi Motors produced inline 4-cylinder engines in the 1.8-liter size under the 4G9 series of engines as well as small-displacement V6 engines in the 6A1 engine series in the 1.8-liter engine size.

• 4G93 - This 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine came in multiple different variations over the years. As a fuel source, this engine has multi-point injection, carbureted, and direct injection versions depending on the year and model the engine was used in. Additionally, this engine came in single overhead cam (SOHC) and dual overhead cam (DOHC) versions but all of the cylinder heads had 16-valves. The compression ratio varies from 9.5:1 for the earlier models to 10.0:1 and 10.5:1 for the newer models and 12.0:1 for the direct injection configuration. These 1.8 Mitsubishi engines for sale came with anywhere from a horsepower rating of 99 hp for the older carbureted versions all the way up to 138 hp for some of the multi-point injected engines. The 4G93 engines were used in Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Mirage, and Mitsubishi Galant.
   
• 4G93T - There were two versions of the turbocharged 1.8-liter Mitsubishi engine produced. The multi-point injected version came with either 8.5:1 compression or 9.1:1 compression and produced anywhere from 192 hp to 212 hp depending on the year and application. The direct-injected version of this engine had a compression ratio of 10.0:1 and a horsepower rating of 158 hp. These 1.8 turbo Mitsubishi engines were found in the Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Mirage, and Mitsubishi Galant.
  
  
• 6A11 - This 1.8-liter V6 Mitsubishi engine had 24-valve single overhead cam (SOHC) cylinder heads with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and a horsepower rating of 133 hp. This 1.8 V6 Mitsubishi engine was used in the 1992-1996 Mitsubishi Galant as well as the 1995-1998 Mitsubishi Mirage.
