3.5-Liter Engines: Mitsubishi Motors manufactured their iron block 3.5-liter V6 engine under the 6G7 engine class and this is the only 3.5-liter engine built by them.

• 6G74 - This 3.5 Mitsubishi engine is used in the 1993-2021 Mitsubishi Pajero/ Montero, 1999-2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, and the 1997-2004 Mitsubishi Diamante. It produced anywhere from 186-260 horsepower depending on the year and model it was in. All of these engines had 24-valve cylinder heads but came in single overhead cam (SOHC), dual overhead cam (DOHC), and variable valve timing (VVT) ability through Mitsubishi’s MIVEC technology. It should be noted that starting in 1997 these engines began using direct injection and were actually the first 3.5-liter V6 engine to use that type of fuel injection.
