3.6-Liter Engines: The only 3.6-liter flat-6 engine produced by Subaru can be found in the EZ engine class as the successor to the EZ30 3.0-liter flat-6 motor. Like all other EZ series Subaru engines, the 3.6-liter has an all-aluminum design for the block and head material as well as dual overhead cams (DOHC).
- EZ36D - The EZ36D is the only and the largest 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine that Subaru has used in a production vehicle. It has a 10.5:1 compression ratio and a horsepower rating of 256hp. This engine was most commonly used as a 2008-2014 Subaru Tribeca engine, a 2010-2019 Legacy engine, and a 2010-2019 Subaru Outback engine.
