3.7-Liter engines: The Mercedes 3.7-liter engine entered production service in 1997 with the introduction of the M112 family of motors. The size represented a departure for Mercedes-Benz with the production of its first V6 engine. Based on this design, the M112 was quickly followed with a V8 motor that was designated the M113.
M112 E37 - Being the only 3.7-liter engine that Mercedes ever built, this engine can be rare to find. It was used in the production of the 2003-2005 Mercedes ML 350, 2003-2006 Mercedes S 350, 2003-2006 Mercedes SL 350, and the 2004-2008 Mercedes V 350. This naturally aspirated 3.7 Mercedes engine had a compression ratio of 10.0:1 and a horsepower rating anywhere between 232-241 hp.
