ABOUT REMAN ENGINE
3.8-Liter Engines:
The Chrysler 3.8 engine debuted in 1989 and was featured in several minivans from Dodge for the 1990 model year. Chrysler took the 3.3 V6 engine they had already produced which had a 3.66-inch bore and increased the diameter to make it a 3.78-inch bore to become a 3.8-liter. It was made of cast iron for the block and aluminum for its head components. The 3.8 Chrysler engine ended its production in 2011 with the jeep wrangler as the final vehicle to feature it after being in production for almost 22 consecutive years. This engine was also referred to as the Dodge 3.8 engine, Chrysler 3.8 engine, and Jeep 3.8 engine.
- EGH - The EGH designation of the 3.8-liter V6 Chrysler engine was built in Trenton, MI with a new intake system allowing a revised camshaft to boost power output. The Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep 3.8 engine produced anywhere from 162-215 hp depending on the year and model it was in. This 3.8-liter engine was found for sale in the 1994-2010 minivans including the Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Town & Country. The engine was also found in the 1991-1993 Chrysler New Yorker and Chrysler Imperial, 1999 Chrysler Voyager, 2000-2010 Dodge Caravan, and the 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler.
