4.9-Liter Engines: The Ford 4.9-liter engine was a 300-cu in inline 6-cylinder engine that was designed mainly for use in Ford F-series trucks. Surprisingly enough, this engine was used in production for many of Ford’s F-series and E-series vehicles from 1965 all the way to 1996.
