4.0 Liter Engines: The 4.0-liter engines produced by General Motors were Northstar V8 engines for sale and they were most commonly found in the Oldsmobile branch of GM. These 4.0 V8 engines were utilized from 1995 all the way until 2003. 

• L47 - The L47 Northstar 4.0 engine was also commonly known as the Aurora Northstar engine. It was a 4.0-liter V8 engine that was rated at 250 hp and had 10.3:1 compression. It used a one-of-a-kind thermoplastic intake manifold combined with a Rochester sequential fuel injection system to give it its power. The L47 Northstar engine was used in the 1995-2003 Oldsmobile Aurora.
