ABOUT REMAN ENGINE
6.0-Liter Engines: BMW produced two engines within the 6.0-liter size displacement and they are both found in the N73 and N74 engine classes. The N73 engine was naturally aspirated while the N74 engine is twin-turbocharged.
- N73B60 - The N73 engines are in 60-degree V12 configurations. It should be noted that these engines were the first V12 engines to use direct injection. The N73B60 engine was equipped with double VANOS variable valve timing (VVT) as well as the Valvetronic variable valve lift (VVL) technology. This engine was rated at 439 hp at an 11.3:1 compression ratio in the 2002-2008 BMW 760i/ 760Li.
- N74B60 - This 6.0-liter V12 BMW engine is the successor to the N73 engine but it has some major changes. This engine features twin turbochargers and because of this, it loses the Valvetronic variable valve lift (VVL) technology. This was an all-aluminum engine with a compression ratio of 10.0:1 and a horsepower rating of approximately 536 hp. It was used in the 2008-2015 BMW 760i/ 760Li.
