6.8-Liter Engines: The Ford 6.8-liter V10 engine is another addition to the Modular family that was used specifically in the super duty truck applications. Ford 6.8 engines had a bore of 3.552 inches and stroke of 4.165 inches which exactly matches the old 5.8-liter Ford trinity engines previous footsteps. This engine is notorious for poor fuel economy when compared to their diesel alternatives.

• 6.8 2-valve V10 - This was a 72 degree V10 engine that was featured in the 1997-2004 Ford E250 E350 E450, 1997-2004 Ford F250 F350 F450 F550, 2000-2005 Ford Excursion, and 2005-2019 Ford E350 and E450. The Ford 2-valve V10 6.8 engine produced horsepower ratings between 305-310 hp respectively.
   
• 6.8 3-valve V10 - The 3-valve Ford 6.8 engine was a variation of the Ford V10 engine that was upgraded to have 3 valves per cylinder instead of 2. With the addition of the extra valve this engine made anywhere from 288-362 hp and can be found used as a 2005-2010 Ford F-250 engine, 2005-2010 Ford F-350 engine, 2005-2019 Ford F450 engine & F550 engine, 2012-2019 Ford F-650 engine & Ford F-750 engine, 2011-2021 Blue Bird Vision Bus engine, and the 2004-2013 New Flyer Bus engine.
