This 3.4-liter V8 engine was rated at 235 hp for most of its production lifespan. This engine is known for having cam trouble, in particular, the sprocket of the cam would break loose from the camshafts which could cause catastrophic engine failure. The 3.4 Ford engine came in the 1999 Ford Taurus.
