ABOUT REMAN ENGINE
2.0-Liter-Engines: All of the 2.0-liter engines produced by Hyundai Motor Company are under the Beta, Nu, and Theta Hyundai engine classifications. The 2.0 Hyundai engine is one of the most popular sized engines for nearly all Hyundai and Kia vehicles.
- G4GC - This Hyundai engine was used in production from 2001-2012. It had continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) and produced 138 horsepower. This engine was used in the 2000-2010 Hyundai Elantra, 2001-2008 Hyundai Tiburon Coupe, 2004-2009 Hyundai Tucson, 2008-2011 Kia Soul, and the 2004-2010 Kia Sportage.
- G4GF - This engine began production in 1997 and was first used in the Hyundai Tiburon. The G4GF engine is also known as the 2.0 D engine and it was the 2.0-liter version of the Tiburon. The output of this engine is rated at 140 horsepower and 133 lb-ft of torque. It was also used in the Hyundai Tiburon Coupe from 1996-2001.
- G4NA - Used in the 2013-2015 Hyundai Elantra, 2014 Hyundai Sonata, and the 2013-2018 Hyundai Tucson. This 2.0 Hyundai engine for sale produced 164 horsepower from the factory.
- G4NH - This was the Atkinson Cycle variant of the 2.0 Hyundai engine. It featured a 12.5:1 compression ratio and improved fuel economy over the other 2.0-liter Hyundai engines with a horsepower rating of 154 hp. It was used in the 2015-2020 Hyundai Elantra, 2015-2020 Hyundai Tucson, 2018-present Hyundai Veloster, 2018-present Kia Forte, and the 2019-present Kia Soul.
- G4NC - Used in the 2013-2015 Hyundai Elantra, 2015-2020 Hyundai Tucson, 2012-2018 Kia Forte, 2012-2019 Kia Soul, and the 2015-present Kia Sportage. This 2.0-liter Hyundai engine was rated at 174 horsepower.
- G4ND - This engine was given the all-new continuous variable valve lift (CVVL) technology thus giving it a horsepower rating between 164 and 170 hp. This 2.0 Hyundai engine was used in the 2012-2018 Kia Forte, 2014-2019 Hyundai Sonata, 2012-2019 Kia Optima, 2012-2019 Kia Soul, and the 2014-2021 Kia Sportage.
- G4NE - This was a 2.0 hybrid Hyundai engine that was used in the 2014-2019 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid as well as the 2015-2019 Kia Optima Hybrid. This hybrid engine produced 148 hp and came with multi-port fuel injection.
- G4NG - The direct injection version of the G4NE hybrid 2.0-liter engine. It was rated at 154 horsepower from the factory and is used in the 2012-present Hyundai Sonata as well as the 2011-2021 Kia Optima.
- G4KD - A multi-port fuel-injected 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with a 10.5:1 compression ratio and a horsepower rating of 163 hp. This engine was used in the 2009-2015 Hyundai Tucson, 2007-2014 Hyundai Sonata, 2008-2012 Kia Forte, 2008-2012 Kia Optima, and the 2010-2013 Kia Sportage.
- G4KF - This is the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that was used in the 2009-2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The G4FK engine has 9.5:1 compression with 210 hp or 9.0:1 compression with 260 hp depending on the year as the 2013 and 2014 engines have the higher horsepower rating. It should be noted that this engine had multi-port fuel injection.
- G4KH - The first direct-injection turbocharged 2.0 Hyundai engine for sale was the G4KH engine. It had a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or 10.0:1 depending on the year produced and ranged in power output from 247 hp all the way to 274 hp depending on the year and model the engine was in. This engine was found in the 2012-2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2009-2019 Hyundai Sonata, 2018-present Hyundai Veloster, 2011-2019 Kia Optima, 2015-2020 Kia Sorento, and the 2011-2021 Kia Sportage.
- G4KL - This is the newest direct-injection turbocharged 2.0 Hyundai engine. It is used in the 2017-present Genesis G70, 2017-2020 Genesis G80, and the 2017-present Kia Stinger. This engine has a compression ratio of 10.0:1 and a horsepower rating of 252 hp.
